I think the best gift you can give to a designer is just telling them that they have the freedom to design an event to their liking. The theme for this party was a clam bake for a forth of July party. The party took about two months to coordinate. With New England weather, you have to plan the party with the notion that it there could be rain or shine. Not a problem, the location had ample space inside and out.
The main dining table was transformed into a buffet of food. I had homemade iced tea with infused lemons. The main course was composed of fresh Maine lobsters, crab and steak.
The dessert table had pom poms cascading around a mirror. Vintage suitcases aligned the table to add height for the pedestals.
Guests soon filled the decorated space shortly after the setup had ended. The two months of preparation was all worth it when the host had a smile on her face as people lined to compliment her on the décor.
I truly love what I do and when you see the finished project and smiles on your clients faces you know that all of your hard work, sweat and tears were all worth it.
